Endless Legend 2 roadmap promises custom factions in first half of 2026
Hooded Horse and Amplitude Studios revealed the next steps for early access development of Endless Legend 2. The new roadmap, unveiled during the studio's annual Amplified event, promises custom factions, new visual design, additional mechanics, and more.
Immediate priorities include quality-of-life improvements and updates to features such as victory conditions, militias, and Hero skills. After that, custom factions will be added to the game, allowing players to mix and match their favorite aspects from available factions to create their own forces.
A future update will introduce an end-game event called the Endless Monsoon – the Keeper of the Depths will rise from the depths, heralding the end of the world and the conclusion of the match. Players must either achieve victory or survive as powerful monsoons batter the map.
Also planned for the first few months of the year are new 2D art, mechanics to improve tactical battles, anomaly districts, and a sixth primary faction.
It's been an exciting and busy time since the release of the Early Access for Endless Legend 2. There have been over a million games played, and the feedback from the community is shaping and improving the game. Based on this input, we've introduced multiplayer and made meaningful updates to battles, construction, victory conditions, and more. And this is just the beginning, as many new features and content are still to come as we move toward the full release of Endless Legend 2.
