Baldur's Gate 3 fan creates infernal lamp for D&D campaign with Raphael's quote
Baldur's Gate 3 fan rotator_cuff shared a handcrafted infernal lamp designed for the tabletop D&D campaign Descent into Avernus. After 800 hours in Baldur's Gate 3, the gamer and his girlfriend decided to continue their adventures at the table and launch their own group to play through the classic campaign.
As game master, the player wanted to create atmospheric lighting for the table. Unable to find suitable options and encountering numerous AI models in 3D printing shops, the enthusiast decided to design his own model. The inspiration came from the House of Hope style from Baldur's Gate 3 – a pompous, regal design with baroque elements.
The lamp runs on batteries, eliminating cables from the table, and according to lore "feeds on soul coins." The creator gifted the first prototype to his girlfriend for her reading desk, planning to refine a second version with construction improvements.
A special detail features an inscription in Infernal language around the lamp's perimeter. Gamers deciphered the text as "I am no mortal and I do not fail" – a quote from Raphael in Baldur's Gate 3. The lamp's creator confirmed the easter egg connected to the character.
Fans already asked for files or ready-made lamps for sale. The creator is considering releasing STL files after finishing the second version and mentioned potential sales on Etsy, though commercial production would require certification. Printing your own version would be simpler.
