Free strategy game about video editing a cowardly hero's exploits launches February 6
Indie developers announced the release of Trust Me, I Nailed It – a turn-based strategy game with an unusual concept. The game launches February 6 as a free title. Gameplay revolves around creating spectacular videos of a mediocre warrior to pass him off as a legendary hero.
Trust Me, I Nailed It uses a fake OS format similar to Hypnospace Outlaw or Her Story. The main tool is World Movie Weaver, a parody of Windows Movie Maker.
On the video editor's timeline, instead of standard tracks, players work with enemy attack patterns and hero action patterns. Enemy patterns are pre-filled and show where opponents will strike on the battlefield. Players control the warrior's actions by dragging clips for movement, attacks, and blocks.
Post-processing modifiers are available – teleportation or complete character invulnerability. Reactions to created videos come through email and posts on MSN (Mana Scroll Network), where players can see whether people believe in the cowardly hero's bravery.
The game can be added to your Steam wishlist.
